Commercial Interior Design in Nashville

Commercial interior design in Nashville is about giving hotels, apartment communities and student housing an identity that feels local without leaning on guitars, neon and honky-tonk props.

Most Level Up Interiors projects are outside Southern California, even though the firm is based in Irvine, California. Nashville is a market we are ready to serve with the same model we use across the country: design from our studio, FF&E received at our own warehouse, and installation through partners in the region.

Leave the Guitar Wall at Home

Nashville has a strong brand, and that is exactly why so many interiors there borrow it too literally. Guitar walls, record-sleeve art, saloon fixtures and neon script repeat from one lobby to the next until no single property stands out.

Our approach is to find the cues underneath the cliche. Craft is one: hand-finished wood, leather that wears in, metalwork with visible joinery. The surrounding landscape is another, with rolling hills, limestone and deep greens that translate into calm, grounded palettes. A small, curated nod to music can still work, as long as it is one layer of the story rather than the whole set.

Commercial Interior Design in Nashville for Hotels and Apartment Towers

Hospitality and multi family are both growing across the metro, and the two increasingly borrow from each other. Hotels want lobbies that feel like a neighborhood living room. Apartment towers want amenity floors that feel like a boutique hotel.

For hospitality, we design lobbies, restaurants, rooftop lounges and event spaces around guest flow and heavy evening use, with finishes housekeeping can maintain. For multi family, we plan leasing offices, clubhouses and amenity levels around how residents use them day to day, and we choose furniture that will still look good after a full lease cycle of parties and game nights.

The Employers and Projects Behind Nashville Demand

Corporate office growth leads the list. Starbucks has announced a $100 million Southeast corporate office in Nashville where it expects to employ up to 2,000 people over the next several years, and Oracle began demolition and site preparation for its campus along the Cumberland River in early 2026. Relocating professionals like these are the core renter for urban apartment towers and furnished units close to the office.

Visitors are the other engine. Nashville International Airport handled a record 26.7 million passengers in the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2026, and its $3 billion New Horizon program is preparing the airport for as many as 40 million a year. The new Nissan Stadium, expected to open in February 2027 and already chosen to host the 2030 Super Bowl, will add event crowds downtown on top of that. For hotel owners, the takeaway is lobbies, bars and event rooms planned for heavy evening use, and guest rooms detailed to recover quickly between sold-out weekends.

Garden-Style, Build-to-Rent and Student Housing Beyond the Core

Much of the region's new housing sits outside downtown, in suburban garden-style communities and build-to-rent neighborhoods. Here the clubhouse carries the brand. It may need to serve as leasing office, fitness room, coworking space and package center, so we zone it with care and specify pieces that hold up to constant use.

Build-to-rent adds model homes and finish packages that repeat across many houses, so the selections have to be durable, easy to reorder and consistent from the first home to the last. Student housing near campus brings a different resident and a harder turnover cycle. Study rooms, social lounges and fully furnished units need tough upholstery, simple replacement parts and a look that still reads current to the next class.

Humidity, Freight and Installation From California

Middle Tennessee summers are humid, and that affects material choices on both sides of the door.

  • Outdoor furniture in corrosion-resistant frames with quick-drying, fade-resistant cushions
  • Wood, wallcoverings and adhesives given time to acclimate once the building is conditioned
  • Indoor upholstery that cleans easily in high-traffic hospitality and student spaces
  • FF&E received, inspected and stored at our Southern California warehouse before it ships
  • Consolidated deliveries released to the site when the building is ready, then placed by regional installation crews

Questions

Do you offer commercial interior design in Nashville?

Yes. We are ready to take on hospitality, multi family, build-to-rent and student housing projects in Nashville and the surrounding area. Our design team works from Irvine and travels to the site for walks, reviews and installation.

Have you completed projects in Tennessee?

Not yet. Our completed work spans thirteen other states, including Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida. A Nashville project would run on the same remote design, warehouse and installation model we use in each of those markets.

How do you avoid a cliche music city look?

We build the concept from craft, materials and landscape first, then add a light, curated reference to music only where it supports the brand. That keeps the property distinctive instead of looking like every other themed lobby.

How does furniture get from California to a Nashville site?

We receive and inspect FF&E at our Southern California warehouse, replace anything damaged and consolidate shipments. Product then ships to the site on schedule, and installation crews in the region deliver, assemble and place it with our designers on site.

Can you help with a single clubhouse or model home?

Yes. We welcome small scopes such as a furniture refresh, one amenity room, a model home or a set of renderings. It is a practical way to start working together before a larger project.
