Model Home Merchandising in Nashville
Model home merchandising in Nashville is the furnishing and styling of a builder's model homes, sales office and design studio so that a buyer can picture a floor plan as their own. Corporate employment drives much of the demand here, and in April 2026 Starbucks announced a $100 million investment in a Southeast corporate office in Nashville where it will employ up to 2,000 people over the next several years.
Level Up Interiors designs commercial interiors from Irvine, California, and model homes are where our principal, Laura Velasco, began her career. We have not completed a project in Tennessee, and we are ready to serve this market with a national team and installation partners across the country.
The buyer walking through a Nashville model

People moving to the area for office careers arrive with a budget and a deadline. They are comparing floor plans across communities in a short window, and the model is often the only home they walk before they decide. Many are relocating, so they cannot easily return for a second look.
That makes the model a tool. It answers the questions a buyer carries in: does my furniture fit, where do I work from home, does the kitchen suit how I cook, is there room for guests. A room staged without an answer to those questions looks nice and sells nothing.
The northern counties add another buyer pool. Create Energy announced in March 2026 an expansion that will create a total of 1,003 new jobs across Sumner and Robertson counties, with more than $78 million invested and a 338,000-square-foot Orlinda facility at the center. Those positions are announced rather than filled, but a builder opening models in Middle Tennessee should expect shoppers who are weighing a move closer to a new employer.
Furnishing Nashville models to sell the floor plan

We start with the floor plan and ask what it does best. A strong kitchen island becomes the center of the first view. A flex room is furnished as the home office. A primary suite shows the sitting corner that a buyer does not know they want.
- Furniture is scaled to the real room dimensions, so the home neither looks cramped nor empty.
- The entry and sightlines are styled first, since a buyer decides in the first moments.
- Art, lighting and textiles use warm wood, brass and textured fabrics, a palette that reads as local without becoming a theme.
- Outdoor living areas are furnished for Nashville's four seasons, with a covered patio that looks usable in hot, humid weather.
Sales offices and design studios for Nashville buyers

The sales office is where the buyer makes a commitment, so it should feel like the beginning of ownership. Materials in the office should match those in the model, and finish boards should be organized so a buyer can compare options without being overwhelmed.
The design studio is where upgrades are sold, which means samples need to be visible, durable and easy to refresh. A clear layout, with each category in its own zone, keeps the process moving and makes selections easier.
Phasing Nashville models as a community builds out
Read more
A community opens in sections, and the models need to follow. The first model sets the tone, and later models can show a different plan, a different elevation or a different lifestyle. Furniture ordered for the first group is inspected and stored at our Southern California warehouse, so the next model is ready when the builder is.
We coordinate delivery and installation with partners near the site, and designers are on hand to place furniture and style the rooms. When a model is retired or converted, we plan the removal and reuse of items.
Questions
What does model home merchandising in Nashville include?
It includes furniture, art, lighting, accessories and styling for model homes, plus the sales office and design studio. The aim is to help buyers picture their lives in the floor plan.
Do you work on one model or a whole community?
Either. A single model, a group of models or a phased program across a community are all workable scopes.
Has Level Up Interiors merchandised a model in Tennessee?
Not yet. We have no completed project in Tennessee, but a Nashville builder would get a principal who started out merchandising model homes, working from Irvine with a national team and installation partners.
Can you style a model for a photoshoot?
Yes. Photoshoot styling is a welcome small scope and often pairs with model openings, since marketing photography needs the home to look finished.
