Model Home Merchandising in Pittsburgh
Model home merchandising in Pittsburgh is the furnishing and styling of builder models, sales offices and design studios so a buyer can picture living in a floor plan that is not yet built. A good model answers the questions a Pittsburgh buyer is already asking about space, storage and daily routine.
Our founder began her career in model home merchandising, and we continue to furnish models for builders from our Irvine, California office. We have completed work in Pennsylvania.

In April 2025, Pennsylvania committed over $329,000 to support Hitachi Energy's expansion of its Mount Pleasant facility in the Pittsburgh region, creating a minimum of 58 new full-time jobs. New positions in the surrounding counties produce buyers who are relocating or moving up, and so does the $352.9 million investment announced in October 2025 to move Eos Energy's headquarters from New Jersey to Nova Place in Pittsburgh. Many of them tour several communities in a weekend.
They arrive with a list: where the coats go, how the kitchen handles a family dinner, whether the basement or flex room is usable. A Pittsburgh model should answer those points with furniture that is correctly scaled, storage that is visible and rooms with a clear purpose. Staging every room to a single idea, rather than leaving some empty, helps a buyer finish the walk with a sense of where they would live.
Furnishing Pittsburgh models to sell each floor plan

Each floor plan has a strength, and the merchandising should show it. An open main level needs furniture groupings that define living, dining and kitchen zones without walls. A smaller plan needs pieces that fit to scale so the room does not feel cramped. A plan with a first-floor suite or office should present that room as a real option.
The local climate shapes the styling. Pittsburgh has long, overcast winters, so we bring in layered lighting, warm textiles and a palette that feels bright without feeling cold. The region's brick and steel heritage gives us a clear reference: warm wood tones, blackened metal accents and tailored upholstery read as at home here without becoming a theme.
- Furniture scaled to the actual room dimensions
- Defined zones in open plans
- Warm layered lighting for overcast days
- Storage and entry shown as part of the plan
Sales offices and design studios for Pittsburgh new-home communities

The sales office is where a buyer decides whether to trust the builder, and the design studio is where they begin to spend. The sales office should feel organized and welcoming, with a clear reception point, a table for conversation and community information that is easy to read. The design studio needs well-lit finish displays, samples organized by category and a surface for comparing options.
We plan these rooms to match the builder's product and price position. A clean display with fewer well-chosen options often moves a buyer faster than a wall of choices.
Phasing Pittsburgh models as a community builds out

A community usually opens with one or two models and grows. We plan the first model to carry the sales effort and design later models to show different plans and finish levels. As sections open, a model can be refreshed for the next phase or relocated to a new plan.
Our warehouse in Southern California receives, inspects and stores furniture so deliveries line up with each opening, and installers across the country place everything. When a builder needs photography, we style the models for the shoot as well.
Questions
What does model home merchandising in Pittsburgh include?
It includes furniture, art, accessories and styling for builder models, along with sales offices and design studios. We select, procure and install the pieces. Photoshoot styling is available when marketing images are needed.
How many models does a new community need?
That depends on the number of floor plans and the builder's sales strategy. We usually start with a model that shows the strongest plan and add others as sections open.
Can you furnish a model from California?
Yes. We coordinate furniture from our Southern California warehouse and installers nationwide. A Pittsburgh model is the kind of out-of-state job that makes up most of our work.
Do you offer a design studio setup?
Yes. We plan the layout, lighting and display of finish selections so buyers can compare options easily.
