Commercial Interior Design in Reno-Sparks
Commercial interior design in Reno covers the finishes, furniture and installation behind the apartments, extended-stay hotels and rental homes northern Nevada is building for data center crews, manufacturing staff and the households that follow them. Level Up Interiors works from Irvine, close to our own Southern California receiving warehouse, and we are prepared to serve Reno-Sparks owners and builders through installation partners across the country.
High-desert projects call for finishes that tolerate grit and glare, entries built for snow, and furniture packages that arrive complete for a lease-up or a crew's first night.
Data Centers, Factories and the Next Reno-Sparks Renter

Vantage Data Centers announced a 224MW campus in July 2025 in Storey County just outside of Reno, with nearly $3 billion to be invested and its first building scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026. Manufacturing is growing alongside it. Future Form Manufacturing plans to expand its existing Sparks facility and is expected to create 170 jobs within five years, with abatements approved in February 2026 by Nevada's Governor's Office of Economic Development.
That mix produces a temporary wave of residents and a permanent one. Construction crews on rotation need extended-stay rooms and furnished units. Trades, technicians and plant staff need workforce-priced garden-style and wrap apartments in Sparks and east Reno. Households that stay once the construction phase ends move on to build-to-rent and new-home communities, and each of those products asks something different of an interior.
High-Desert Finishes Behind Commercial Interior Design in Reno

Reno sits in high desert at the foot of the Sierra, with dry air, intense sun, snowy winters and big swings between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Dust and wind are daily facts, so we favor matte and textured surfaces, sealed concrete and porcelain that hide fine grit and clean with a damp mop, and we skip high-gloss finishes and dark flat colors that show every particle.
Dry air is hard on solid wood and natural fibers, so casegoods lean on stable veneers and upholstery on performance fabrics that resist cracking and pilling. Strong sun calls for colorfast textiles and solar shades on exposed glass. The palette borrows from the landscape, with sage, sandstone, basalt gray and Sierra pine set against warm wood and stone, which softens the industrial setting many new buildings sit in.
Gear Storage and Entries for Reno-Sparks Residents Who Live Outside

Many Reno-Sparks renters chose the region for what lies beyond the city, and their gear comes home with them. Storage and entries carry real weight in the leasing decision here, so we plan them as amenities rather than leftover space.
- Secure ski and bike storage near a ground-floor door, with racks that fit real equipment
- Entry zones with walk-off matting and boot trays for snow and mud
- A bike wash and tune-up corner in place of an amenity room nobody books
- Unit closets and entry benches sized for helmets, boots and packs
Workforce Housing Interior Design in Reno, From Crew Rooms to Rental Homes

Workforce-priced units only work when the budget goes where the wear is. We spend on entries, kitchen surfaces and seating, standardize the furniture package across unit types so replacements are simple, and choose pieces that can be repaired instead of discarded. Extended-stay rooms for crews on rotation add blackout shades, a real work surface and storage for work clothes.
The households that stay want something warmer. Build-to-rent amenity buildings and model homes should feel residential and repeat across floor plans without looking identical. Where owners plan senior or active adult communities, the priorities shift to seating that is easy to rise from, clear contrast between floor and wall, and glare control at large windows.
Freight Over the Sierra and a Reno-Sparks Opening Day
Read more
For FF&E procurement, orders land at our receiving warehouse in Southern California, where each shipment is opened and checked before it moves on, so a damaged chair is replaced before the truck leaves rather than after the building opens. Consolidated loads then head over the mountains to our installation partners, and our designers travel in to place furniture, hang art and style each room.
Winter storms in the Sierra can slow freight, so any opening between late fall and spring gets weather slack in the schedule. When a building has to be ready for a crew arrival or a leasing launch, we work backward from that date and order long-lead pieces first.
Questions
Do you offer commercial interior design in Reno and Sparks?
Yes. We have not completed a project in Nevada yet, and Reno and Sparks are markets we are ready to take on from our Irvine studio. Most of our projects are already outside Southern California, including completed work in California, Oregon and Arizona, and our warehouse and installation partners support projects nationwide.
Which Reno-Sparks projects do you take on?
Workforce and garden-style apartments, wrap buildings, extended-stay hotels, build-to-rent communities, model homes and senior living. We also take smaller scopes, such as refreshing an older building that competes with new supply, a single amenity room, finish selections or photoshoot styling.
How do you furnish extended-stay rooms for construction crews?
We plan for hard use and fast turns with performance fabrics, durable hard surfaces, blackout shades and furniture lines that have dependable restock. A damaged piece can then be swapped for an identical one, and the room goes back into service looking complete.
What holds up best in the high desert?
Matte and textured finishes that hide dust, stable wood veneers that tolerate dry air, and colorfast fabrics that stand up to strong sun. Outdoor furniture needs weight or anchoring for wind, and cushions should dry quickly after snow or a summer storm.
