Styling + Photography
We style and shoot interiors for photography that performs on social media and on your website. Instead of the classic wide-angle, fisheye view of a room, we create and capture lifestyle moments and close-up details that make people stop scrolling, so your property gets seen.
Photoshoot styling is the interior design work that gets a finished space camera-ready: final placement, accessories, florals, props and light, all arranged for the lens rather than for a walk-through. The photos of a model home, model unit, clubhouse, lobby or hospitality venue often reach more prospects than the space itself, so the hours before the shutter clicks matter.
We style and coordinate the shoot as a stand-alone service or as the last step of a project we designed.
Details and moments
The Pre-Shoot Walk
Read more
Every shoot starts with a walk of the space ahead of time. We look for open punch items, missing accessories, scuffs and anything that will read badly on camera, such as an exposed cord, a thermostat in the middle of a feature wall or a bare corner that looks fine in person but empty in a wide shot.
We also note how daylight moves through each room, which windows will blow out, and which views are worth framing. That walk produces a short list of fixes for the site team and a list of items we will bring.
Building a Shot List Around Leasing and Marketing
Read more
A good shot list starts with how the images will be used. The website hero, a listing feed, a printed brochure and social posts each want different framing, and it is far easier to get them all on one day than to reshoot.
- Wide establishing shots of each amenity and the model, showing scale and flow
- Vignettes that sell a lifestyle: a set dining table, a desk ready for work, a lounge corner in afternoon light
- Detail shots of finishes and fixtures that a prospect asks about
- Vertical frames for listing sites and mobile screens
- Twilight or evening shots where lighting is a feature of the space
Shoot Day on Site
Read more
On the day, we work alongside the photographer room by room. We adjust furniture a few inches at a time to suit the camera, swap accessories between rooms so each frame feels complete, and bring in fresh florals, greenery and props that read as lived-in without clutter. Window treatments get set for the light, lamps are matched in color, and beds and upholstery are pressed and dressed.
Coordination is half of the job. We line up access with the on-site team, plan around tours and resident traffic, and keep the shoot moving so the property is back to normal operation as quickly as possible. When the shoot ends, borrowed props leave with us and the space is reset.
What Photoshoot Styling in Interior Design Delivers
Read more
The owner comes away with imagery ready for the website, listing services, brochures and leasing presentations, captured while the space is at its best. Styling makes the difference between photos that document a room and photos that make someone book a tour.
Our completed work includes Montrachet in Napa, a furnished model apartment, and Elate in Rancho Cucamonga, a 55+ active adult model home program. When a shoot follows a project where we also handled the install, the styling builds on furniture that is already in place and only needs final adjustment.
Questions
Can you style a photoshoot for a space you did not design?
Yes. Photoshoot styling works as a stand-alone service. We walk the space first, work with what is there, and bring in accessories, florals and props to complete each frame.
Do you provide the photographer?
We coordinate with the photographer you choose, or we can help you find one suited to interiors. Our role is the space, the shot list and the timing on site.
What types of properties benefit most from photoshoot styling in interior design?
Model homes, model units, clubhouses, lobbies and hospitality venues see the most return, because their photos carry the marketing. Any space that will appear on a website or listing benefits from a styled shoot.
What does the on-site team need to do before the shoot?
Mostly clear the punch items from our walk, confirm access and plan around tours or resident traffic. We handle the styling items and the room-by-room setup.
Do we keep the props and accessories after the shoot?
That depends on how the shoot is set up. Some items are borrowed for the day, and others can be purchased to stay in the space. We agree on this before the shoot.
