Hospitality and Extended-Stay Interior Design in Memphis
In Memphis, hospitality interior design covers hotels, extended-stay properties, restaurants and bars, serving guests who may check in for one night or stay through a season of contract work. Contract workers on regional construction and industrial projects need extended-stay hotels, and that demand sits next to the usual flow of business and leisure travel in a city known for music and barbecue.
We are a national team based in Irvine, with a Southern California receiving warehouse and installation partners across the country, and we are ready to design and furnish hospitality properties for Memphis owners.
Contract workers and long stays behind Memphis hotel demand

The Memphis region is seeing large announced investment. In January 2026, Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves announced that xAI plans a data center in Southaven, Mississippi, with an investment of more than $20 billion, and in October 2025 Google announced it will spend $4 billion through 2027 building a data center in West Memphis, Arkansas. Both sites sit outside Tennessee, but crews and contractors working on them need places to stay, and extended-stay hotels are a likely product for that group.
A guest who stays for weeks has a different relationship to a room than one who stays a night. They cook, do laundry, spread out paperwork and tire of a room that was only designed to photograph well. The hotel has to feel livable well into a long stay.

In a long-stay room, the kitchen is the first thing a guest tests. It needs real counter space, storage for a few weeks of groceries and surfaces that tolerate cooking, not decorative finishes that stain. The work area deserves the same attention: a proper desk, good light and enough outlets for two laptops and a phone charger.
Durability matters more here than in a typical hotel room. Humid Memphis summers and heavy seasonal rain mean boots, wet jackets and gear enter the room every day. We specify flooring, casegoods and soft goods that can take that wear and be cleaned between guests without looking tired.
Memphis lobbies, restaurants and bars that work day and night

A hotel lobby has to serve a crew leaving at dawn, a business traveler working through the afternoon and a visitor looking for a drink at night. That calls for zones within one room, with a place to grab coffee, a place to sit with a laptop and a place to settle in later.
The city offers a vocabulary for it: warm wood, brick and warehouse-loft references from its river, blues and soul music and barbecue heritage, plus the mid-century Southern look. We use these to make public spaces feel rooted in Memphis, then check every material for wear in a room that is busy from breakfast to last call.
Memphis hotel FF&E: procurement and installation from Irvine

Hotel furniture, fixtures and equipment is the largest and most schedule-sensitive part of an opening or a refresh. We have not completed a project in Tennessee, and we say so plainly. What we offer is an Irvine team that selects and procures FF&E, a warehouse in Southern California that receives and inspects it, and installers across the country who place it with our designers on site.
For an existing property, a refresh can be planned by floor or by room type, so the hotel keeps selling rooms while the work happens.
Questions
What does hospitality interior design in Memphis cover?
For a Memphis hotel or extended-stay property, the work runs from the guest rooms to the lobby, the restaurant and bar, and the other public rooms guests pass through. The mix depends on whether the property serves business travel, project crews or leisure guests.
What makes an extended-stay room different from a standard hotel room?
A long-stay guest cooks, works and stores belongings in the room, so the kitchen, desk and storage need more thought than in a short-stay room. Finishes also need to withstand more daily use.
Can you refresh a hotel without closing it?
Often, yes. A refresh can be planned in phases by floor, wing or room type, with furniture staged in the warehouse and installed on a schedule that fits the hotel's occupancy.
Have you designed hotels in Tennessee?
No. A Memphis hotel would be the first project we complete in Tennessee. We are an Irvine-based team with hospitality experience in other states, ready to bring our process to Memphis owners.
