Commercial Interior Design in Las Vegas

For apartment owners, builders and hotel operators, commercial interior design in Las Vegas comes down to interiors that stay cool, resist sun fade and still carry the polish residents expect in a resort city. Level Up Interiors is set up to serve the valley from our Irvine studio, with our own receiving warehouse in Southern California and installation partners across the country.

The demand behind that work comes from steady hiring and from data center plans in North Las Vegas that would bring construction crews with them.

Las Vegas Job Growth and the Housing Behind It

Hiring leads the story: between June 2025 and June 2026, employment in the Las Vegas-Henderson-North Las Vegas metro area rose 2.9 percent, from 1,143,300 to 1,176,800, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Data centers are another factor. In September 2026, Switch proposed a data center campus at the Apex Industrial Park in North Las Vegas, with Phase 1 including two data center buildings.

Data center activity in Southern Nevada is concentrated in the southwest valley and in North Las Vegas, where construction crews and operations staff add to the demand that broader hiring already creates. The housing that answers it covers a wide range: garden-style and wrap apartments in North Las Vegas and the southwest valley, workforce-priced units for trades and technicians, build-to-rent and new-home communities, extended-stay hotels for project crews, and senior and active adult housing.

Las Vegas Workforce Units, Crew Stays and New-Home Communities

Workforce-priced apartments are where budget discipline shows most. Spend goes where residents and prospects notice it, in the lobby, the leasing office and the unit kitchen, and holds the line on pieces that wear out and get replaced. Unit furniture should be modular and easy to source again, so a damaged dresser can be matched long after opening.

Extended-stay rooms for project crews behave more like small apartments than hotel rooms. Residents cook, store tools and boots, and sleep at odd hours, so we plan real pantry and closet space, washable surfaces and room-darkening shades.

Build-to-rent and new-home communities sell on the model. A merchandised model home has to make a modest floor plan read as livable and cool in a hot climate, which means light-reflecting finishes and a layout that keeps sightlines open to the yard. Senior and active adult communities ask for the same heat-aware choices, with steadier lighting, firmer seating and clear paths through common areas.

Las Vegas Heat, Dust and Monsoon Storms Inside the Building

The Mojave sets the spec. Year-round sun fades fabric, rugs and wood finishes quickly, so we specify solution-dyed, UV-resistant textiles, pair large windows with solar shades or film, and keep dark upholstery out of direct afternoon light. Very low humidity is hard on solid wood and natural leather, which can crack and shrink, so engineered wood and well-finished leathers tend to outlast raw versions here.

Dust and the occasional monsoon storm shape the entries and outdoor rooms. Tight-weave fabrics and removable, washable cushion covers keep amenity seating clean, and hard flooring with walk-off zones keeps grit out of the corridors. Outside, surfaces that sit in full sun can get too hot to touch, so pool decks and courtyards call for light colors, shade structures and furniture heavy enough to stay put when the wind picks up.

A Desert Palette for Commercial Interior Design in Las Vegas

The valley's own colors make a better starting point than imported coastal or farmhouse looks: desert sand, terracotta, dusk purple and sage, set against the bright mountain views at the valley edge. Where a building faces those mountains, we plan the clubhouse and leasing office to frame the view rather than compete with it.

Cool, layered lighting suits a city this bright. Indirect cove light, shaded pendants and lamps at seated height give a lounge a calmer feel after a day of glare. Residents also bring resort expectations home, so a few hospitality cues go a long way: a coffee bar that feels like a hotel lobby, a pool cabana with real upholstery, a fitness room lit like a boutique studio. The skill is choosing which cues fit a rental budget and leaving the rest to the Strip.

Keeping Las Vegas FF&E Out of the Heat Until Install

Lease-up and hotel opening dates rarely move, while furniture lead times often do. Our FF&E procurement runs through our own receiving warehouse in Southern California, where orders are checked in, opened for damage and held until the building is ready, so problems are solved before a truck leaves for the valley. Holding goods there also keeps upholstery and casegoods off a hot, dusty jobsite until the building is enclosed and cooled.

Shipments then go out on a schedule set against the construction calendar, and installation partners unload and build out each space while our designers direct placement on site. Arizona and California are among the states where we have completed projects, and the same warehouse and installation model is ready for Las Vegas owners.

Questions

Who typically hires a firm for commercial interior design in Las Vegas?

Developers, builders, property managers, asset managers and facilities teams that own or run apartments, build-to-rent communities, extended-stay hotels and senior housing. We work as an extension of the owner's team, from the first design direction through the final install.

How does an Irvine design firm manage a Las Vegas install?

Furniture is purchased and checked in at our Southern California warehouse, then shipped to the site on a set schedule. Installation partners handle the labor, and our designers direct placement so the finished rooms match the approved design.

Should workforce-priced units get a simpler furniture package?

Simpler, yes, but not cheaper everywhere. We put the money into the pieces residents touch daily and the common areas that drive tours, and choose unit furniture that is easy to reorder and repair. That balance protects the budget without the building feeling like a compromise.

Can a Las Vegas owner hire you for a single room or a refresh?

Yes. A furniture refresh, a single amenity room or a round of finish selections are all common starting points. Each gets the same purchasing and installation support as a full building.
